Do you want to learn more about cataract?
General description
Cataract is the most common and most successfully healable eye disorder that can be treated by surgical replacement of the lens. During the treatment only 1.8 to 2.85 mm incision is made on the cornea by using the most modern type of the ultrasound technology applied for years, and through this the faded lens is removed and the new, professional artificial lens is implanted.
No general anaesthesia is required for the 25-30 minutes long intervention considered today as a routine procedure; it is not painful and the patient can read or watch the television already on the next day. We compiled this information letter to help you and your family to learn about the cataract and its treatment.
Our experiences show that the key factor in a successful cataract intervention is the appropriate level of awareness of the patient. If you have any questions, our staff will be pleased to help you after your free registration. We will call you back!
